JAAFA REGGAE, nome forte no cenário musical paraense, apostando na mistura de luta, força e determinação, vêm se destacando há quatro anos, com uma trajetória de sucesso, concretizando cada vez mais sua identidade musical, conquistando seguidores da música reggae a cada show realizado e buscando um maior espaço no cenário fonográfico.
JAAFA REGGAE, hoje já é considerada um ícone da música Reggae no estado do Pará. O estilo característico com que a banda se apresenta, sem estereótipos convencionais, com uma proposta clara e objetiva de influência de grandes referências do reggae nacional e internacional, que fundamentam a banda na origem cultural do reggae raiz original a fim de construir uma identidade diferenciada e inovadora, voltada ao segmento popular da música reggae em uma junção de ritmos valorizando as raízes amazônicas.
Formada no ano de 2004, vem se consolidando cada vez mais como uma das bandas de maior repercussão na região norte. Ao longo desses quatro anos, as músicas “MAIANDEUA, CIRCO NA TABA E CANTO TRIBAL” foram executadas em várias rádios do Estado, e é cantada pelo público em todos os shows da banda. Trazendo sempre em suas canções mensagens de paz, amor e principalmente de igualdade social a JAAFA se destaca por levar um público cada vez mais fiel em seus shows, conquistando o reconhecimento tanto em sua cidade (Apeú – Castanhal - Pa), assim como na capital do Estado do Pará, onde com certeza já é uma das maiores promessas do novo Reggae Nacional.
Já tendo dividido o palco com grandes nomes da música reggae, como: Natirots, Ponto de Equilíbrio, Tribo de Jah, Andread Jô, Dona Leda, The Gladiators, Eric Donaldson, entre outros, a banda mostra muita maturidade e potencial em sua nova fase independente, lançando o CD com músicas totalmente autorais, músicas estas já conhecidas por seus seguidores. Hoje, toda a expectativa gira em torno da distribuição do primeiro CD, que traz junto à oportunidade de alcançar um número maior de ouvintes. Esse é o momento oportuno para demonstrar o trabalho também em outras regiões. O CD conta com 16 faixas inéditas gravadas em estúdio independente.
Sempre com a preocupação de serem fiéis na qualidade musical, com um repertório que passeia pelas canções clássicas do reggae nacional e internacional, composições próprias da banda e com muita vibe positiva, fazem do palco uma verdadeira brincadeira musical, Eles tocam com freqüência na Capital e interiores do estado, lotando as casas por onde passam. Apesar das dificuldades comuns a uma banda independente a JAAFA já cativou pelo Estado uma legião de admiradores que se identificam com o reggae apresentado nos shows, o que deu a banda o premio de melhor banda de 2007 sendo eleita com mais de 8 mil votos no site de relacionamento “Orkut”, em uma promoção realizada pela rádio JOVEM PAN e o jornal DIÁRIO DO PARÁ.
Uma banda de reggae, que já foi um "bando" de amigos, dispostos a realizarem seus sonhos de poder tocar, cantar, compor e explorar ao máximo o universo da música e que hoje já tem muitas histórias pra contar. JAAFA hoje é composta por Acy Ayres (voz; guitarra base), Marcelo Di Carvalho (baixo), Lourenço Lima (guitarra solo), Junior Mambo (percussão), Chico Aquino (bateria), Alexandre Ayres e Lívia Taçula (backing vocal) e Deivide Novaes (teclados).

JAAFA REGGAE, strong name in the paraense musical scene, betting in the mixture of fight, force and determination, it has gained prominence during these four years, with a success trajectory, materializing your musical identity more and more, conquering followers of reggae music in each concert and searching for a bigger space in the phonographic scene. JAAFA REGGAE, today is already considered an icon of Reggae music in the state of Para. The characteristic style of the band presents, without conventional stereotypes, with a proposal clear and objective of influence of great references of reggae national and international, that bases the band on the cultural origin of reggae in order to construct a differentiated and innovative identity, highlighting the popular segment of music reggae in a mixture of rhythms valuing the Amazonian roots. Formed in the year of 2004, it comes more consolidating each time as one of the bands of bigger repercussion in the region north. Throughout these four years, music’s “MAIANDEUA, CIRCUS IN the TABA AND I SING TRIBAL” had been executed in some radios of the State, and is sung by the public in all shows of the band. Bringing always in its songs messages of peace, love and mainly of social equality the JAAFA detaches for taking a public each more faithful time in its shows, conquering the recognition in such a way in this city (Apeú - Castanhal - Pará), like in the capital of the State of Para, where is certainly one of the biggest promises of the new National Reggae. Already having divided the stage with great names of reggae music , as: Natiruts, Ponto de Equilíbrio, Tribo de Jah, Andread Jó, Dona Leda, The Gladiators, Eric Donaldson, among others, the band shows maturity and potential in its new independent level, launching the COMPACT DISC with total authorial musical , music’s these already known by its followers. Today, all the expectation around the distribution of the first COMPACT DISC, brings the chance to reach a bigger number of listeners. This is the moment opportune to also demonstrate the work in other regions. The COMPACT DISC has 16 brand new songs, recorded in an independent studio.
With the concern to always be loyal with the musical quality, with a repertoire that takes a walk for the classic songs of reggae national and international, proper compositions of the band and with a lot of positive vibe, make the stage a true musical trick, frequently playing in the Capital and interiors of the state, crowding the houses for where it pass. Although the common difficulties to an independent band, JAAFA already captivated for the state a legion of admirers who identify with reggae presented in shows, which gave to the band the prize of better band of 2007 being elect with eight thousand votes in the relationship website “Orkut”, in a promotion carried through for radio Jovem PAN and the newspaper Diário do Pará. [ ORIGEM DO NOME ]

O nome JAAFA, foi formado pelas iniciais dos nomes dos primeiros integrantes da banda, (J=JUNIOR, A= ACY, A=ALEXANDRE, F=FÁBIO e A= ALVARO), logo em seguida entraram na banda SERGIO BERNARDO, DEIVID e CHICO AQUINO e LÍVIA. Ao decorrer do tempo, houve alterações na banda, saindo por então, Renan, Fábio Maia, Sérgio Bernardo Rafael Azevedo e Álvaro Ayres, e entrando: Deivid Novaes, Chico Aquino, Marcelo di Carvalho e Lívia. A palavra JAAFA busca analogia em sua pronúncia com JAH (DEUS), e para a banda representa a unidade de irmãos.

JAAFA, is formed by the initial of the first names of the integrant ones of the band, (J=JUNIOR, A= ACY, A=ALEXANDRE, F=FÁBIO and A= ALVARO). After SERGIO , DEIVID, CHICO AQUINO and LÍVIA have entered the band. When elapsing of the time, it had alterations in the band, leaving for then, Renan, Fábio, Sergio Bernardo, Rafael Azevedo and Alvaro Ayres, and entering: Deivid Novaes, Chico Aquino, Marcelo di Carvalho and Lívia. Word JAAFA searches analogy in its pronunciation with JAH (GOD), and for the band it represents the unit of brothers.

“We have as objective to show the Reggae essence, a music that speaks of peace, love, equality between the peoples, that fights against the social differences, any type of discrimination and that it touches deep in the feeling of our Amazonian people, who has the chance to hear the rhythm reggae directed to the customs and beauties of the Amazônia, mixtured with good taste and flavor of regional rhythms.
